?
Also for those of you who have the hair steamer, where did you buy yours? Do you think a normal hair straightner would be bad on low heat?

Nothing is going to repair split ends, if the fibers are actually split like human hairs do. If they are just super-fuzzy, then yes.
I use a flat iron on the lowest setting. It's a metal one, not ceramic too. When the bangs are steamed, they straighten and look ucky. A low-heat curling iron works wonders. I know this is supposed to be a major no-no, but I think it works BETTER than a steamer. (I don't have enough arms to hold the doll, brush and steam all at once!)Keep the hair wet, and keep the iron moving-- that's what's worked for me.

I have a ceramic straitener that I use on my hair everyday. It has 30 settings and I put it on 1. I turned it off periodically and then back on so it wouldn't get too hot. Also don't leave it on one spot. It works fabulously though!

Jamie, in my experience, the older Lissies restore very well. A flat iron smooths ends better than a steamer because you can actually target the ends. Grab a bottle of conditioning or no-tangle spray (Walmart Equate version of Johnson's is 98 cents) to use on the hair as well as misting heavily with water. Especially taget the ends with the tangle spray. I think you'll have great results!
